IMG Team Plays for Crohn's & Cholitis Foundation

Say "football" around the IMG office, and it doesn't take much to get some ears to perk up. It's a byproduct of living and working in SEC territory. In August, that's exactly what senior project manager Mike Dasher did, and he started the process of forming an IMG flag football team that competed Saturday, November 8, at The Georgia Dome.

Krista Heckler, Dasher's girlfriend, is the development manager for the Georgia chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), and is responsible for organizing the annual flag football tournament known as Touch of Football. This event is one of their largest events each year to raise funds for ongoing research for a cure of these painful diseases. The IMG team raised $3500 as part of the CCFA's overall $69,000 total, and enjoyed a full day of "non-contact" football. In the process, the team defeated the #1 seed in bracket play and was ultimately defeated by the team that would go on to win the 12-team tournament. Not bad for a first event, and everyone agrees that it was great to bond as a team.

On the first Monday after the tournament, everyone is in the office, and no one is seriously injured.

Until next year...
