Ribbon-cutting at 72 Marietta

Last night, the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs hosted a robbin cutting for Gallery 72 located at 72 Marietta Street. The building is formerly the home of the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and was renamed 2 City Plaza when the building was donated to the city.

Our partners at Stanley Beaman and Sears were awarded the project as part of a redesign competition that was conducted by the Mayor’s office in 2012.

In partnership with SBS, Image Manufacturing Group produced a complex architectural element that bridges the interior and exterior of the building. There’s no doubt that this project is a marquee element for SBS and IMG for years to come, and we’re excited that we had the privilege to be part of the project.
