Job Summary:

Employees in this role will develop new business, both in and outside of our current customer base, showing customers how IMG can support their business growth through signage and branding using both interior and exterior programs. This role focuses on selling custom signage through relationships in specific markets. Primary relationships are with end users, environmental graphic design firms, and general contractors.

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop new business pipeline using successful prospecting methods; meet established prospecting quotas and sales goals
  • Work with customers to understand their business needs, establish a budget and develop a plan for delivering a quality solution.
    • Explore signage options, fabrication methods, and profitability
    • Collaborate with internal staff to support the design, estimating, project management, and operations process
    • Partner with Marketing to develop proposal and presentation package and deliver to customer
    • Assist customers with managing permit and other municipality challenges
    • Compile work orders
    • Transition sold business to assigned Project Manager
  • Compile activity and pipeline reports through company CRM; keep reports updated to provide most current information
  • Research and monitor industry trends to understand the market and the options available for your customers

Education, Experience or Specific Skills:         

  • Associate degree in a related field – construction management, architectural or structural design, marketing, or business development
  • Bachelor’s degree in similar field is desired
  • 3+ yrs. sales experience with demonstrated success in business to business selling
  • Sign, media or display experience a plus
  • Robust ability to analyze options and problem solve the unexpected
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents required; mechanical aptitude is desired
  • Capable of doing or learning site surveys and field measurements
  • Sales related training a plus
